Job Well Done Awards

Grace Wilton

Admissions General Worker
Blackburn College
Blackburn---Grace-Wilton-JWD-2025

Quote from the Supervisor:
“Grace goes above and beyond in her job in admissions. She strives to be a role model in the office to the other student workers and wants nothing but perfection from everything that she does in her job. Grace deserves this award because she is such a good representation of what Blackburn is and she shows that in her work. Tasks given to her in the office are done exceptionally and she makes sure it is better than what we even ask for.

She is one of our most personable tour guides and truly makes a campus visit more insightful for a prospective student. She has helped train all our new students in admissions so that they will be able to work into the department as well as she does. She always comes to work with a positive attitude and never complains about a single task she is given. Grace is also the Assistant Manager for the Administration department and she is always available to support the students in the department. She is an amazing helping hand with different things on the leadership side of the department as well and is willing to help in any way possible.”

UNIFIED BY PURPOSE

OUR WORK COLLEGE MEMBERS

There are currently ten federally recognized Work Colleges, and nine are members of the Work Colleges Consortium. These institutions are small, private, liberal arts colleges with modest enrollments that range from about 150 to approximately 1,600 students. Each school is unique and operates the work program in a slightly different fashion. However, “work-learning-service” is a central component of each Work College. Student work, coupled with robust academics and a spirit of service, is the common denominator shared by all the Work Colleges.
