Gabi works in the gift shop at the Keeter Center. She is an extremely reliable student. She is a leader in her department and truly cares for her teammates to be successful. She does more than is required by coming in extra to assist with training, taking responsibility over the gift shop, and leading by example. She is deserving of this award because she truly is working to earn her education, she shows Christ's love through her interactions, and is a great ambassador of the College. Gabi is a huge asset to our team. She works hard and goes the extra mile. She appreciates the opportunity to be able to go to school and work for her education.

Gabi is always prepared to work as soon as she arrives. She is willing to do anything that is asked of her and never once has complained. She knows the job well and doesn't take short-cuts; she makes sure everything is done correctly and to her best ability. Gabi is a wonderful teacher and leader to the other students; she is patient with them and is quick to help them needed. She is an exemplary student and goes above and beyond for the Keeter Center.

OUR WORK COLLEGE MEMBERS

There are currently ten federally recognized Work Colleges, and nine are members of the Work Colleges Consortium. These institutions are small, private, liberal arts colleges with modest enrollments that range from about 150 to approximately 1,600 students. Each school is unique and operates the work program in a slightly different fashion. However, “work-learning-service” is a central component of each Work College. Student work, coupled with robust academics and a spirit of service, is the common denominator shared by all the Work Colleges.
