Job Well Done Awards
Brayan Uriel Villalobos
Paul Quinn College, Enrollment Management, Corporate Student Intern
Paul Quinn College

Brayan U. Villalobos, is a freshman, native of Dallas, Texas who joined the work program in fall 2019. Villalobos was awarded a PQC Promise scholarship which allowed him to live-off campus and still participate in the campus work program. After interviewing at the PQC WP job fair Villalobos was selected to work in the Enrollment Management Office (EM) a job usually only held by upperclassmen. After only a few months in the EM Villalobos completed hours early and began to serve as the trainer to the other interns in the office specializing in data entry programs and campus tour protocol. Due to his positive attitude, ability to work with others and long hours of service, Villalobos was promoted to corporate intern within the office after only 3 months. What is most noteworthy is that Villalobos worked his entire winter break assisting with the recruiting and intake of our spring 2020 class. The efforts of Villalobos in his short time in our work program is much appreciated and there is no student more fitting to receive the “Job Well Done Award” from the Work Colleges Consortium. From everyone at Paul Quinn College, thank you Brayan Villalobos for a “Job Well Done.”
UNIFIED BY PURPOSE
OUR WORK COLLEGE MEMBERS
There are currently ten federally recognized Work Colleges, and nine are members of the Work Colleges Consortium. These institutions are small, private, liberal arts colleges with modest enrollments that range from about 150 to approximately 1,600 students. Each school is unique and operates the work program in a slightly different fashion. However, “work-learning-service” is a central component of each Work College. Student work, coupled with robust academics and a spirit of service, is the common denominator shared by all the Work Colleges.
